I've been going there for awhile now, I would guess on and of starting in October and pretty strong now since March maybe April. My best advice to those of you that think Gene doesn't have time for you, remember he is just one man, and he is not the God that you need to be seeking. Now if your goal is to become a bigger part of the church than go see David Zavona, David May, David Mac gees there are a lot of David's there. Or you can go see Jeff Williams, Dan Tilley, and Andrew Rup. These people are there just about every day of the week and are the most welcoming people you will ever meet. I have volunteered at the church a lot and often just show up looking for something to do, so I know that these people are at the church almost every day working on something so if you are interested in helping please come on by the doors open at 9:00am Monday - Thursday and around 6:00am on Sunday. If you want someone to notice you do something to get noticed. I don't think my helping out means that much but I have been graciously thanked several times by Karen and Gene for the help that I have given. - Guy

Lompoc Police are very corrupt. They don't enforce the laws. Why is it half the vehicles in California don't have a front license plate when they are required by law? Riding bikes on the sidewalks and kids under 18 don't wear helmets. They smoke in the stores still and in front of all the stores and restaurants. Basketball hoops in the streets and on the sidewalks, people playing basketball in the street all day. Vehicles park in red fire zones.

I love the Gathering...ive been going since they were in the old gym. Maybe Gene is selfish. And maybe i went through like 10 youth pastors. But i believe Gene has good intentions. He says some akward and weird things sometimes when hes on stage...but he has lead me in the direction of God most my life. People do listen to you. Maybe not through email or the way you want, but they are always approachable to your face. Gen and his family has helped my family alot. With counsoling and guidance. There is always someone to talk to. Just this past Sunday we prayed and praised God and it was so powerful...we talked about God putting the joy back in our life. I dont think sitting on your computers and talking bad will make you look better...so coming from a teenager, maybe you should stop. Its not very nice. God bless.

With four services, the church is meeting the needs of many East Tennessee residents. They even built a balcony so more could attend a service. I agree with the air of love. My wife and I are going to be involved as we grow with our walk with the Lord. I attended the Gathering and volunteered for many different activities. I was never called. The first time I filled out a card at Pathways I received a call and a CD of their own music at the beginning of the week. This is the church for us.

I thoroughly agree with the person who started this sniitch. I have had Gene do the same thing to me; plus some of his chosen few have done that as well. And he is very loud and verbal when he acknowledges someone in public. My wife wanted to try Gene's church again so I agreed. After seven Sundays in row of preaching for money, my wife agreed that it is time to leave. I guess the church is in financial trouble. I drove around the church the other day and noticed a Tahoe outside the lower level with high dollar wheels. (Wow, over two grand just for glam.) Why in the world would anyone 'make an appointment' simply to 'meet' the pastor, of any church? Pastor Gene and Karen visibly place themselves in the lobby, usually after every service greeting newcomers and members alike. They frequently have newcomer luncheons so folks can get to know them. They're available to chat with at just about every church function. They hold small group bible studies in their own home for whoever would like to join in...and "pastor doesn't love his flock"!? Seems to me you have had many opportunities over the past two years to meet both Pastor and his wife. To publicly post such accusations against him and his wife is an abomination.

l have been at the Gathering for about 2 years l am a ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for 27 years from the continent of Africa l accompanied Pastor Gene on a mission trip to Africa so that means l am not only part of a great church l also stayed with the most humble gracious and a loving and forgiving man l know.ln pastoring a church there are many needs and unfortunately the pastor has the most difficult and judgemental job of sharing it with the church and seeking their support to meet those needs. This greatly disheatrens me to read this. I used to attend and until recently believed these comments to be untrue, at least the majority. One of my very good friends recently came to me, however, extremely upset. He said that he had been in a meeting with a man supposedly of God who had actually verbally abused him. He has been a devout and realistic believer for many years. He was in tears and said that he had never, in his entire life been treated that way and by a pastor , no less. Apparently he had been doing work for the "Good" Pastor as a favor to a friend who was content to sit there and be cowed while his own Pastor went to work on my friend. I however had not as yet ascertained the identity of said man of God. So imagine my surprise when the next day, i am availed of his identity and come to find that it is no other than my own former Pastor. I nearly cried myself. God will decide where this Prima Donna Pastor will end up. To misuse His name is a sin in itself. And quite apparently this is yet another gross violation of Those who believe in him and his purpose. Let's hope that it doesn't end up going as far as other sects have in thee past. (e.g. Charles Manson, Heaven's Gates, just to name a few) God bless you and keep you straight, Gene. I still can't believe it! It's truly disappointing.
